A BIBLICAL ETHIC FOR THE POLITICAL SEASON   This Adult Sunday School season will begin with a seven-week study of faith and politics, led by Dale Bowne.  Christians have long pondered the ways in which their faith should inform their politics.  As we enter this final phase of the 2012 election campaign, we invite all adults to explore together some of the questions and issues we face as Christian American citizens.    The ethic of the New Testament offers a life-style for believers. But how do we live as Christians in the midst of our political process? How does that life-style inform how we choose people for public positions of responsibility? Join us in room 209 at 9:00.

Mystics on Mondays

This group meets monthly to read and study writings from the Christian Mystics.  Mystics are Christians who have sought to experience God and Christ in their daily lives through prayer, meditation, and community.  Their lives span from early Christian times, through the years, to Christians today.  Our discussions are lively, and the readings are interesting from perspectives of Christian faith and history. Contact Pastor Jennifer to learn more about this group.

Presbyterianism 101: A Few Things Everyone Should Know about What it Means to be Presbyterian

In this very introductory class, our pastors will offer an overview of Presbyterian governance (How we make decisions), history (Who are John Calvin and John Knox and why do we care?), and theology (What do we believe?).  At the last session, we’ll bring it all together with some real-life case studies of life in a Presbyterian Church.  This is a great class for new officers and people new to the Presbyterian Church (USA).  Call the  church cffice for the next offering (717) 243-4571.
